Quality miniature mic stands
I got these to use in a stop-motion music video I'm planning to make. The paint on these is a little basic, but the detail is there to refine later. I absolutely love the fact the microphones are detachable - that gives me more options, as well as giving the opportunity for modelers to add a small neodymium magnet for easier mounting on figures. The microphone is easy to attach to the stand - it doesn't exactly snap into place but there's a clear point on the mic where it fits into the top of the stand, and it's held there fairly securely. The stand itself is very stable, whether the microphone is attached or not. One stand had a minor lean to it, but a minute in hot water, a slight bend and a plunge into cold water later, that was completely remedied. I'm not a fan of the high gloss finish, but it offers the most protection for the stands so I understand why it was chosen. It's a little too reflective for me, so I'll knock that back on the black sections with some matte acrylic varnish. The stands feel sturdy and structurally sound. At £6.99 for a pair of stands and microphones, I think this is a good price, and I'm very pleased overall.
